The characteristics of real conspiracies

Conspiracy talkers often claim there are real conspiracies.  However, they don’t at all look like such individuals imagine.  They search for something with characteristics which are not humanly possible.  So when they see a real they don’t recognise it.  I don’t think any real conspiracy have ever been claimed by such before the secret came out.

Real conspiracies are not reveals by their effects.  Because these effects can arise without any need for a conspiracy.  Instead they are revealed by someone telling having been part of the conspiracy.  The person goes to the media and hands over insider information.  This happens relatively quickly nowadays oftentimes within a few years.  Over the last few generations it has gotten harder and harder to keep things secret.  The time from initiation to reveal has for this reason decreased over time.

Moreover they have much less scope then conspiracy talkers imagine.  Those involved in a conspiracy are at most a few dozen people.  The means they use are already openly documented.  They are not used more than is really needed due to limited resources.  Their goals are short-term and they cause single events.  The large developments of history can anyway not be controlled.

It happens conspiracies succeed but not as planed.  One example is the murder of the preacher Grigori Rasputin.  This weirdo acquired a great deal of enemies.  Some of them conspired to kill him.  First they had intended to poison him.  That failed out of sheer incompetence.  The food they intended to poison him with was such he was allergic to.  Consequentially he refused to eat the poisoned food.  One of the conspirators then drew a pistol and shot him to death.  It took at most a few minutes for him to die.

I think there is documentation of failed conspiracies.  Some have organised themselves but their plan has never been carried out.  Carl XII may have been the target of such a failed conspiracy.  Several people behaved as if they organised something.  However, if they really did it was never carried out.  Had their plan been carried out it would have been revealed during these peoples’ lifetime.  Say the king was killed in battle before they could murder him.  Then it would have been enough of an explanation for their behaviour.  At least being killed in battle is to me enough to explain his death.
